I never thought I was a high fiver but living in Hong Kong and with all the Australian influence you just can't help but try it. High Fiving I have just got used to, after a short 10 years. Chest bump, air hug, flying hand after a hand shake or anything using other parts of the body I am no were near comfortable with.
So after a wine & dine fair on the waterfront in Central Hon Kong I decided to run, probably a 3kilometer through the city centre race the taxi to where we would stop for another drink. Under the influence of a few wines, I took my shoes off and with Charlie Morson and sprinted, or what I thought was sprinted but was probably more like an uncomfortable to watch jog for everyone else, my way through the crowds from the ferry piers, along the walkways, through Lan Kwai Fong and onto Whyndhum high fiving as I passed, some the willing high fiverer, some not so. It was brilliant. I often run in the mornings and have an Ally Mcbeal moment. (for those of you who remember the series) of hugh fiving those runners, running against and almost definitely when it's raining and I have never had the nerve to do it. Now I am at peace :)
